Basic Travel Tips

These are some general tips for travelling in the Caribbean.

Entry/Exit Requirements - Before travelling abroad, it is your responsibility to research the entry/exit requirements for your travel destination as well as your home country.

Keep a copy of all travel documents - Before leaving for your trip, make a copy of all your travel documents in case they are lost or stolen. Be sure to keep the copies seperate from the originals.

Luggage - Be sure to lock your luggage with a secure lock. Write your name on the inside of your luggage as an added identifier and don't use your home address on the labels, but rather a work address or a resort address. Put a dryer sheet inside your bag to keep your clothes fresh and bag all your toiletries to avoid any messy spills.

Things to pack - Pack a basic emergency kit with band-aids, antibiotic ointment, Tylenol and tweezers. Also bring your own toiletries such as shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, as your hotel/resort may not provide these.
